International MG Show & Spares Day Stoneleigh Sunday

We return again to our usual season opener
with an F Register stand and vehicle display at this large MG
only annual event. Join us, get bits for your car, park in a cow
shed, view the displays, stock up on regalia for the summer,
buy a car !
Entry is £10 on the door on the day.

Brooklands MG Day Sunday 6th April
Brooklands Museum, Weybridge, Surrey We
like to support this event based at the birthplace of British
Motorsport and aviation. Masses to see at the museum plus
hundreds of MGs of all makes and types. Bring your F/TF and
enter by the Brooklands Road entrance where you'll be directed
to the MGF parking area which is where you should find us as
well with the stand and a couple of display cars.
Great day out for one and all - Formula 1
exhibition, a real life Concrode, a cut down Concorde model (the
one that used to be at Heathrow), motorbikes, bicycles,
aeroplanes, Test Hill, BBQ, Cafe, Shop etc etc.
Pay on the gate £8 per person.

Pride of Longbridge Rally Sunday 12th April
Cofton Park, Longbridge
This is growing to become a very popular event
and shows support for the workers at our favourite car
manufacturing plant. You'll meet plenty of the actual people who
made your F/TF at the event as well as side stalls, F Register
stnad, live music etc. Cars from all Longbridge's history attend
so expect plenty of Austins through the ages.
We're hoping for another run in from Hopwood
Services but watch this space for further details.

Highlander 08 3rd - 4th May
This evergreen event has moved from it's
residency of the last two years and will start in Stirling with
a run across Scotland through Glencoe to finish at Connell Ferry
just above Oban. We're staying at the Falls of Lora Hotel but it
might just be fully booked now - don't worry though if you still
want to come you might be able to find a B & B nearby !
Saturday evening dining night at the hotel and
a sunday run into the Highlands will round off the weekend
nicely.

Basingstoke Festival of Transport Sunday 11th May
This annual event is organised by
the Thornycroft Society and takes place in the Memorial Park,
Basingstoke. You can expect masses of classic cars from
individual entries to club displays, from commercials to buses,
motor bikes to sports cars and everything in between including
the MGF Register - we'll be here with a club paddock for up to
20 cars on site.
If you want to join us in the
paddock then make sure you e-mail Tim now to ensure your place.
If you miss out then you can still come but you'll have to park
in the public parking and see us on site.

East Anglia Charity Day Run Sunday 25th May
This year's MGF Register supported charity is
the Norfolk Hospice at Kings Lynn and profits from this run will go to that charity.
The Run
will take us through the Norfolk countryside from Sandringham to
Hunstanton where we'll finish at the village green
for a show & shine competition.
Cost £15 per car

nominated charity. The remaining £5 will go towards
administration of the event. Should there be any excess that

Essex 10th Anniversary Car Show Sunday 1st June
Museum of Power, Langford, Essex
Yes those Essex boys have been going for ten
years now and we're celebrating their anniversary with a car
show at the Museum of Power. There will be other classic
vehicles, craft stalls, family entertainment and refreshments,
miniature steam train rides as well as the museum exhibits.
I'm quite sure the Roadsters will be
celebrating in their own unique way so why not come and join the
oldest MGF group on their special day ?

Grand Day Out Cotswolds Wildlife Park
Sunday 1st June
We'll be represented at this MGOC
organised event in the South West by our South Midlands Group
with a main club display and regalia sales etc.
Loads of MGs from the young to the old and
there's bound to be a good representation from the F/TF
fraternity.

MGCC Silverstone International 13th - 15th June
Come and join us for a fantastic weekend at
the annual main MGCC bash. We'll be inside the marquee manning
our stall as usual, we'll be in the car park making sure all the
F/TFs park neatly and we'll be in the arena on saturday making
sure Russ Swift sticks firmly to two wheels.
All this plus traders, cars for sale, food,
evening live entertainment, parade laps, camping and of course
oodles of racing on the international circuit including two
rounds of the MG Trophy featuring your favourite racing cars !!

MG Car Club South East Summer Gathering
Borde Hill Gardens, Haywards Heath, Sussex
Sunday 20th July
The annual main South East evetn takes place
at Borde HIll Gardens in East Sussex this year. The MGF Register
has supported the event for the past few years and we'll be back
again this year with our club Gazebo, summer games and a Tuk Tuk
Sprint trial ! We'll also be presenting our own award for MGF of
the show.
Great fun day out and a good mix of MGs from
the South East and beyond.

MGM GROUP Saloon Day 08 Lamport Hall &
Gardens, Northampton We'll be at this
growing show organised by the now MGCC affiliated MGM Group so
expect lots of MG Metros, Maestros and Montegos and plenty of
Zed cars as well.
The F Register will be there supporting this
show with our stand and hopefully a good selection of MGF/TF
cars too - not quite saloons I know but it's the thought that
counts so if you fancy getting along to something with some of
our saloon stable mates then you are welcome to join us.

There are two road runs on saturday morning leading to
MGFest08 and a further Heritage Road Run starting from
Longbridge on the Sunday plus much much more over the whole
weekend !

Kempenrit and European Event 4th August onwards !
This year
we're combining two European Events with a trip to the Kempenrit
in Belgium followed by a run to Switzerland for the MGCC
European Event in Zug.
It all starts on Saturday 4th August with a
run to Mechelen in Belgium where we're staying at the Hotel Ve.
We'll stay two nights here with optional canal boat trip and a
walking tour of the local micro breweries. The Kempenrit event
itself is on the sunday and consists of a road run through the
Belgium countryside.
The group will then split with some returning
to the UK and others travelling on to Switzerland to attend the
European Event, a trip that will take in some spectacular Alpine
passes including a return visit to the Stelvio.

Taste of Wales Mermaid Quay Weekender
6th and 7th SEPTEMBER 2008
A Fantastic weekend to give you a taste of Wales based at
the Mermaid Quay in Cardiff. On Saturday we'll meet and take
part in a circular road run into the Welsh Hills finishing back
at Cardiff where we'll be free to enjoy the varied entertainment
of Mermaid Quay itself.
On the Sunday we'll meet at Plas Roald Dhal which is the
old oval dry dock right in front of the Welsh National Opera
House and a privileged public location where we'll hold a Pride
of Ownership competition.
A must for fans of the BBC's Torchwood as the
Alien busting organisations HQ is right underneath our feet !
Cost will be £20 per car
