This website is an impressive creation so congratulations to all involved. In recent years I have restored a 1954 ZA, a 1979 B and have just bought a 1949 YA - Y 4086 to be precise - in pieces, so I have a project ahead of me for several years I think. |

It's difficult to believe but the Y site just goes on getting better and better (if that's possible). I particularly like the revamped Guest book format. |

We own MG-Y type #1805. Have owned it since 1986. It has chrome,15" wire wheels,4.3 MGA gears in the differential, sports a Shorrock supercharger, producing 8.5 lbs of boost, and is a blast to tour with. We really enjoy this site. |

I enjoyed your site very much the past five days; tonight I'm going to look at an Y that is advertised for sale in Holland. Unfortunately I didn't find an "what to look for" buying guide, maybe that's something to look at for the future? Webmaster's reply: Good idea Willem, thank you. We are currently working on something, however for the time being please refer to the article in Practical Classics December 1984 which can also be found reprinted in the Brooklands book Y-Types & Magnette ZA/ZB available from Regalia. |

I am the happy owner of a 1969 MGB tourer already member of MGOC UK and of Italian MG Car Club. The MG Y Type site is, in my view, very charming and rich of information on this model. In the near future probably the first months of next year, if not killed before by my wife, I plan to find a good honest YB Type in U.K. to be imported in Italy where the Y Type models are completely unknown. |

I was hitchhiking home in 1964, when I was picked up by a dolly in a Y Type. At the time I did not know what type of MG this little car was. It was love at first sight (car and girl), did not see either of them again! Happy ending, last week I purchased Y Type YT 3428 I also have a '63 MG MGB 60% ground up restored. Best regards, David. |

What a great site, and so full of useful facts, very helpful. I owned a YA way back in 1959. It was a 1950 year and registration number NKJ 404. MG and Riley Autumn Red and I would love to know if the old girl is still alive. I did 500 miles per week in her for 3 years. Before motorways too. Keep up the good work everyone. |

I have visited here off & on previously but will search here more avidly now since we actually own a 1950 YA restored. One of the reasons we felt comfortable selecting a Y was because of this very site! Nice to have tech help when needed and this site is very well organized. Look forward to sharing with others of the same interests. Russ in Iowa, USA |

Where is she now-My very first car was a 1948 Y series saloon in British Racing Green and Black, Registration JPT 871. I could tell many stories about that wonderful car "funny and serious" it would be nice to know she had survived after all these years, I sold her around 1972-73 to someone from the Manchester area. |

He still enthuses over the car-jack, which was fix mounted and activated by a hand pump unit so he could change tires by wearing white gloves. Anyhow I was wondering what kind of car this could be and by searching the internet I reached your site. Compliment a very informative site. I will pass by again and who knows maybe I will be sometimes an owner of a MGY too. My Father would be |
