Your site is helping me to make up my mind about buying a MG Y if somebody likes to sell a Y or a T (the T for restoration).

All the best Christof

Very good website, better than many big corporations !

I don't actually have a Y type but am interested in the car and of course it's commonality with my TD !

I have recently purchased an MG Y which has been in Portarlington Victoria Australia for about 20 years. It is in straight order, a little rust, runs well, very original. This week we begin to restore, which is the second restore for this vehicle. I am interested in being in contact with others who have restored or own one of these, even if only for moral support!!

This is a brilliant website backed by enthusiastic and dedicated people. The help and support available through the register is essential to any “Y” owner.

People like those behind this site, make keeping these cars on the road worth while !!

A million thanks to all you folks behind this site for all the help and support.

Can I suggest a 'collectors corner' may be of interest to the site, dedicated to Y type items, such as sales literature, MG letters, cigarette cards, posters, press cuttings, etc. Can contribute a number of items to kick it off if you're interested.... the site gets better at each visit. Well done. Kind regards, Ken.

Now with such a fine web site maybe paint colours ought to be considered. How about an Elizabeth Grey and Shires Green site next? The other birth of the 'Y' colour was, I believe, Black and that might not work. Paul, well done. Slater.

Paul: congratulations on a good-looking, informative and well-structured site: I have learned quite a bit so far! Nice period feel too, and perhaps over time we can build up the literature (advertising, sales brochures etc) to develop the "atmosphere" which you have so well created. Look forward to contributing over time, Tim (Y 6814).

I have had my MG YB (chassis no YB0647 - original reg HJB 531 but now JSK 563)since 1980 and have been involved worth MG Y register (John Lawson) until recently. Am currently in Octagon Car Club and recently have been in contact with Malcolm Hardy of MGCC. Like the web site - my car is already registered with you. I have a very rusty spare YB chassis (bare) (ex YB0615) - free to a good home but needs collecting. My car has been off the road since 1992 due to children and family health issues.

Have owned 2 Y's JGD 208 [1972-1979] and RVW 761 [1992-1998] Great cars - but now have a TA. Help organise the Spring Runs for the register and am Midlands Rep in the UK. Would love to own another Y but don't have space/money still who knows! Please do support our UK events. I look forward to seeing Y owners any time - hopefully more than 50 of you at the Spring Run 2003. Happy Y motoring.

Congratulations on producing such an excellent and informative website. I shall look forward to seeing future developments. The Spring run from Broughton castle this morning was hugely enjoyable and well worth the journey down from Yorkshire as a (hopefully!) future Y Type owner. I am hoping to have at least a couple of photos worth posting on the site. Keep up the good work!
