The white Midget had a crash and the second one has been sold for 40$ in 1975... 35 years later, back to the past... Same place, same people and same car but 35 years later... I bought this car 4 months ago. This car travelled a lot... 1963 - France (Monaco) 1999 - USA (Philadelphia) 2005 - Belgium... A wonderfull life for this car... Soon I'll be like a new one ! Sorry for my "english", I'm a french speaker and I try to do my best

My 1972 MG Midget is now in concours condition. Here you see me an my pride and joy shortly before I changed the complete front suspension. The new mini light wheels look 'the pants' in my humble opinion. For shows I can still use my rostyles, but for driving the mini lights are the best. The car has been completely restored with new hydrolics, electrics, suspension, engine and gearbox, carbs and ignition topped off with a complete bare metal respray and new interior and hood. The complete story of the restoration can be read on my site which is being restyled as we speak: Look here

was restored just this year. Originally Harvest Gold, the car was taken down to bare metal and took six months to bring it to its current condition. It was worth it! | Joe Maggiore - Downingtown, PA USA
| ![]() Bought this 1979 on the 4th of July! 75,000 and still running great.
With some work should be a great daily driver

| ![]() This is an old photo of my '74. It's actually new paint over old rust, So
now it's a work in progress. But it's nearly done. Today it's baby blue ( see inset picture) with
a fiberglass front end and the nicest wheels I've ever seen. But it's stuck
in storage right now, waiting for my time and attention. The work included a
repower and 5 speed.

| ![]() This is Christine a 1976 Midget 1500, I ve had the car for nearly 3 years
now since my parents broght it me and I passed my test at the tender age of 17. The car itself did'nt look like this all the time, when we brought her, she was rusted up but with the aid of my dad and a friend and also 6
months of TLC we were awarded with a nice looking motor. I have always loved the Midget since my dad shown me pictures of his Mark 1 which he owned in the 60's. over the 3 years I have slightly modfyed the car by placing bucket seats and painting the nose white and stick on racing spots.

Here are some photo's of my MG midget MK1 1963. The photo's were taken during the Beaujolais Trophy. That is an annualy race from Drachten (in the Northern part of Holland) to a place in France to pick up the new Beaujolais wine. All sorts of cars are racing along and every year there are about three Midgets involved. The Trophy is held in the third week of November and is over a distance of about 1500 to 1800 Km in three days. So you can imagine that it is very tough for the Midget, but it never lets me down.

Here is a picture of my wife Theresa and her 67 Midget. It was a present
from me on our 20th wedding aniversary. The car has been completely
restored/remodelled and I rebuilt the old 1275 engine last winter and now
it runs like a top. It only sees the road during the summer months on sunny
days. We live in Ontario, Canada and belong to a small car club called
"Superior Olde British" (S.O.B.'s). We enjoy the occaisional outing with a
few other MG's and Healeys in the nice weather.

In 1996 a friend of mine bought a bright red 1972 MG Midget and ever since I wanted one. In the summer of 1998 I finally bought one and have spent almost all my time ever since to restore it to 'better than new' condition. She's been completely stripped and repainted, and I've fitted a new interior. A new engine and gearbox were installed. The complete story of the restorationproject can be viewed on my site, dedicated to my Midget and my Mini Racing at
| ![]() This Midget was restored by a sewing machine repair shop proprietor and has been done to a high standard for his first (? only) restoration. Unfortunately his wife found it too small. My wife loves it and uses it as her daily transport to work.

The BT is a rally which goes from Drachten (The Netherlands) to Langres (France). It's a three day's tour with fourty other classic cars to bring the
Beaujolais wine home. The rally was on November 15th 1999

| ![]() Here is a photo of my MG Midget. I think the headline should be:
| It's a dogs life down in Devon in a Midget! The British Green colour can be a slight problem down along all the narrow green lanes we have here - Talk abour camouflage! With thanks and Best Regards Andrew Logan, Loganmillstream@tesco.net ![]() Here is the result of a years hard work, to rebuild this car. It comes from California, but the side where rust is knowing..... My home address is in Belgium, Antwerp, Brasschaat. The car was rusty and not possible to drive. All pieces in the car are changed by either spares from the yard are new. The welding and painting was done by a local garage, I would not to invest for the welding equipment myself, it was too expensive. The time I offered on this car is really 7 months of 19 hours a day seen over a year. But, as you can see it is great, driving this car meets all expectations there's no knocking of any kind in the car it drives like a new car!!

Here are a couple pictures of my '74 Midget. I just accomplished a
bottom-up restoration including rocker panels, floorboards, both a-posts,
and all four lower wings. I also rebuilt the engine and the SUs, and
replaced the windshield. The car was completed, including the paint job,
inside my garage. I had the car down for 6 years but I finally accomplished
what I set out to do. Its been great! Now I have a '72 MGB that will be the
next project. The proud owner

Here is a picture of my 74 Midget in Milwaukee Wisconsin, USA
I bought it from the original owner 5 years ago with 40K miles on it.
I put about 200 miles on it since I bought it, and plan to restore it when my
teenage children move away from home, which will give me time for a hobby.
I enjoyed visiting your web site very much.

| This is my recently restored 67 Midget "Lucille" during a toy delivery event for unerprivalidged families in Cheyenne Wyoming. This is one of her rare wintertime outings. I found her in a field in very sorry shape and with persistance and love brought her back to life. If you think cars don't have souls, try one of these. Brian Bell, Cheyenne, WY. Zaphod621@aol.com ![]() A '79 that I found parked in a garage...original and unrestored. The relatives didn't want it and needed the space in their workshop. When I got it, it had 6.6K or so miles on it, but needed a bit of mechanical work. By the time I drove it around for the summer and out to California in '97, it
was closer to 9-10K. That's the jack (in its original black plastic bag)
and tonneau cover on the ground behind it.

| only 42k miles from new !!! Keith Berry keith.berry@barclaysglobal.com ![]() A photo of my '72 and '79 on a roadtrip from Albuquerque, NM to San Francisco, CA. My brother was kind enough to drive the '79 for me. The '72 has since been dismantled for parts (I found a better (orange) shell) and the '79 sold.......here it has 9 or 10K on it!
| Stew & Amanda Smith. stew@kdn0.attnet.or.jp ![]() This '65 Mark II was found at a garage sale in Indiana. Its 20 years since I got frustrated by owning three BMC/BL cars at once. Once towed home, behind a 30 year old Wheelhorse, I cleaned the fuel pump, carbs and with a new battery, it fired right up. Had been sitting in a barn for 8 years and was full of mouse turds and nests!! Fortunately the wiring wasn't chewed up. A previous owner screwed it up for me, alas, a winter to rebuild the car. If it wasn't so nice here in the Midwest this year, I'd had parked it by now and started stripping it. But the top stays off and it sees daily use. It feels great to be enjoying LBC (Little British Car) again
| bruce@woodward-realty.com ![]() This is my Australian MKIII Midget (1969) the photo was taken at Iron Bark Gully just outside Brisbane Queensland. The midget is known as AMY and is quite well known down here.
| Stephen Thorne stept@cheque.uq.edu.au ![]() Here is my Midget 1976, just completely restored, in and out. 58K original miles, runs and looks great. Always wanted to own one of these unique old British convertibles.
| Yvon Parent. yparent@sun-spot.com ![]() It's been in California it's whole life and is pretty much rust free. It's mostly complete, and I had thought about selling it, but kinda fell in love and decided to fix her up! It doesn't take up a lot of space,
and now that I have the right wrenches I'm on my way.
| spdesign@evansinet.com (The owner forgot to mention his name!!) ![]() The paint has been
partially stripped, thus the surface rust, but overall, it's in good
shape!
| spdesign@evansinet.com(The owner forgot to mention his name!!) ![]() I brought this 66' Midget back to life! Barely showing the original Windex blue paint, I found it destroyed by fire, towed it home and overhauled the engine, gearbox, body and interior. This was my first (and only to date) restoration project. I can't describe the amount of personal satisfaction I
recieved from this work! What you see here is two years of my life!
| Jim Marshall, Hampton, Virginia, USA. jmarsh4587@aol.com ![]() Perfect Romance!!
| ![]() Bought this in 96 from a shady used car sales man. But still got the
better deal. This stays in the garage no outside over night parking for
this . Still got plenty of work to do on it but since it runs good will
work on it when I cant drive it this winter. I call her "The MIG"
She's located in North East Pa. U.S.A. Poconco Mts. Great on the
turns. Warren Seafoss.

I own a '79 Midget which I bought from a friend who hardly ever drove it in the 2 years he
owned it. Too busy with his other 4 British cars! I've owned it for
just over a year, and would never ever part with it. It's far too much
fun, and the stares a girl gets while cruising with the top down in the
fall weather is great.

Mark Wright of Durham, North Carolina says "I found this car on July 4, 1998. I kind of acted on impulse when I got it. The week before I decided that I wanted a convertible. I had a '88 Honda Civic that had no air conditioning. Now in Central New York
that is not a problem, but here in the South it can get down right hot!. There were two listed in the paper, I only looked at the one I purchased....$3,500 and drove it the 30miles home without a hitch. Its a 1976, 1500cc with 125000 miles!"
| kb2ehj@mindspring.com ![]()
1979 midget called "Maud" (short for maudlin, which is how I feel when she's broke!). She has a lightened, balanced engine, Janspeed performance exhaust, stiffened and uprated suspension, and full roll cage. Used for everything from going to the shops to circuit racing, seen here on our way to a hillclimbing class win at Harewood.

This is Gypsy, purchased 4-9-98. It is my third British sports car after
a 24 year dry spell. Gypsy is a 1970 Midget Mk III with what I believe is the
nicer 67 grille. She is powered by a stock 74 MG engine of 1275 cc. I first
saw this car in June of 97, but before I could make inquiries, it was gone.
In August of last year my mom was up to celebrate my 25 wedding anniversary.
While here she asked what I wanted for my upcoming birthday - as a joke I
showed her a 67 Midget I had found - really needed work!!!! Her reply to my
"joke" was that I should be patient - I would find the MG I really wanted.
Last November my mom passed away - she left me he 94 Dodge Caravan. In April
of this year her prophecy came true - while on my way home from work I spotted
"Gypsy" in front of a garage - It was the very same car that I had spotted in
June - the van was traded, I made some cash. My mom finally gave me the
birthday present I wanted. On the dask of "Gypsy" is a placue that reads -
Thanks Mom - From Gypsy and Me 4-9-98. It is my hope that this car will have along life in the Murphey family. By the way, my mom was Bohemian, thus the cars name!

Here is Christine. She's a 1976 MG Midget. I bought her a month ago.
The car is in decent shape, although I will have work done to it.
In recent years I've owned a 1968 Austin Healey Sprite, a 1973 MG
Midget and a 1976 MG Midget, and now Christine.

I bought the car in '77 (graduation present to myself), and over the years
it has collected a 276 cam, stage 3 head, single HS6, frontline suspension
and so, in its quest to stay well ahead of friends' Bs, TRs and similar
unwieldy modes of transport ... its family name is Midget Impossible (how
can so much time and money be spent on something so small) ... all together
... tum-tum...tum-tee-tum-tum ...

Watson, Ladysmith, VA. | ![]() Here is our "Li'l Angel" with a little bit of History: | Angel is a 1975 MK IV Midget, at least that is what B.M.H. say's on her certificate: after reading the serial # it has been confirmed that she was the 358th 1975 produced. But the body style says 1974, as noted she only has one jack post hole, after working on her for the last 15 years we have come to the conclusion that the only thing that is 1975 is the specific 1975 changes. Li'l Angel sports the Original Color Glacier White, with an overcoat of Gold Pearl. She has seen over 120,000 miles and still going strong, with the original engine of course. The interior is the original stock, Autumn Leaf, and although she has been gone over from Bumper to Bumper, she has maintained the original equipment to the best of our ability, no after-market "Stuff" if the original was available. We have enjoyed Li'l Angel for years and she will always have a place in our garage to keep her safe. Marla75@aol.com ![]() 79 Midget which currently live in Munroe Falls, Ohio.
